Here we are, nearly at the mid-point of the year already! I decided to switch things up a bit and compose a video message for this edition of From the Fort.

We are now at the two-minute warning for the first half (which means two weeks left in June), and over half of the Group is in position to meet or exceed their annual quota…just need to keep the foot on the gas in the second half – or for those that are slightly behind pace, hit the turbo button (those of you with kids that play Madden will know what I mean). Either way, 2024 is on target for another successful year for the Spacesaver Group!

We kept our pace with incoming orders, entering over $8.8M as a Group with Patterson Pope booking over $3.3M of it on their own! The P2 Midwest team carried the bulk of that, entering just under $2M – bringing their YTD bookings over $5.4M (194%)!!! Dave Simons and the crew from Ohio (and Tennessee and Kentucky) are raising the bar for everyone! In total, we had 10 PARs exceed their month incoming order target, bringing our Group total to 16 PARs over YTD quota through May. Southwest Solutions Group is also chasing records, with 4 individual PARs over 109% YTD quota – SE TX (170%), Oklahoma (127%), Kansas/W. MO (125%) and NE TX (109% – which puts their all-PAR total to 114%)…and once some impact projects in the PAC NW get entered, they could finish the year 5 for 5!!!

It was another strong month for shipments – sending out over $9.5M as a Group with 14 PARs invoicing more than their May quota. Through May, the Spacesaver Group is at 105% of YTD quota, thanks to 19 PARs over 101% and another 8 PARs over 90%. With a strong finish, we could have nearly 30 PARs achieve their sales target in 2024…30 PARs!!!!

Major Projects

A MIT-y Powerful Installation: Earlier this year, Spacesaver’s Major Projects Team – along with Donnegan Systems – completed an off-site storage installation for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). This project began in early 2023 with Spacesaver and Donnegan conducting a site visit, where we completed a collections assessment and worked through several iterations of storage layouts to determine what would work best for their space. Through this collaboration, we were able to provide a complete solution to meet their needs and budget within their timeframe, and design systems with the capability to accept additional carriages in the future as their collection grows.

2023 Invest Algin Deliver

Summertime is for vacations and road trips! One group that took taking to the road to heart is Spacesaver Storage Solutions! The Virginia team sponsored a coach bus to transport museum professionals to a backstage tour of The Mariners’ Museum and Park, facilitating a discussion about the collection and facility as the group learns about this museum’s unique environment and collection. Thank you to David Craig, Lura Bishton, and Andrew Craig for Going Above PAR to nurture connections with museum contacts in your area!

Many of our conversations at the 2024 American Alliance of Museums (AAM) Annual Meeting were geared toward our ability to offer consulting services from planning to delivery and beyond – a key differentiator from the competition.

The Society of American Archivists (SAA) Annual Meeting will be in Chicago August 14-17, and our team will be on hand to share the latest and greatest solutions in material preservation and protection.

Meet Your New Market Sales Manager

Great news is worth telling multiple times. However, if this is your first time hearing it, we wanted to announce that Emily Martin has been promoted to Market Sales Manager – Museums. In this role, she’ll drive thought leadership and market sales goals by continuing to build relationships and offer consultant services by applying detailed product application and design knowledge. Along with you – our network of dedicated storage experts – Emily will continue assisting in maximizing sales and profitability of Spacesaver product within the Museum market. In the past year, alongside our Distribution, Emily has helped the Major Projects team secure five large museum projects worth over $5 million net Spacesaver material. Her patience and persistence learning this market and the needs of its customers has allowed her to build a strategic, consultant-type skillset while promoting the value Spacesaver as a full solutions provider.

Solutions for Every Square Inch

If you’re looking for a great example of how the Spacesaver Group can provide proven storage solutions for just about anything in your PAR’s Public Safety Facilities, Richard Chandler of Interior Solutions has one for you in the Mesa PD project he is facilitating. The installation, which will be wrapping up shortly, includes a wide array of solutions for storing materials in FIFTEEN different capacities from long-term storage to evidence lockers to weapons. WELCOME ABOARD! We are thrilled to announce that Teresa Delgado joined the Spacesaver team on May 28th as our newest A&D Specialist. In this role, she will be responsible for executing outreach efforts to the AEC community to increase brand awareness, drive lead generation, identify and qualify early-stage opportunities for our Area Contractors, and more. She also will be leveraging BIMobject and SpecLink as core tools to create a foundation for new opportunity development.
