Congratulations on a great, record-breaking 2023! But now it’s all about 2024, and we kicked off the new year at our annual Principals Meeting in Chicago in January.

In searching for words to describe this year’s meeting, one word comes to mind…POWER. And while you could take that word as reference to the main product that differentiates The Group – High-Quality, POWERED High-Density Mobile Systems – I am actually referring to the POWER of The Spacesaver Group, the POWER of Performance, the POWER of all our People/Teams, and the POWER of Alignment. The excitement, focus, and engagement were evident throughout the meeting. We are definitely all flying in the “V” formation!

As I covered our 2024 strategic initiatives supporting year two of our three-year plan to increase product sales, I emphasized that Spacesaver continues to “Invest” heavily in operational capital, human capital, product innovation, infrastructure, and, of course, sales and marketing. These investments continue to reinforce the foundation that The Spacesaver Group was built on and will assure our success in the future.

Everything is teed up for the Group to have another successful year in 2024. Let’s continue to work together, encourage, and commit to each other. And remember the famous words of Laura Walton…Wake Up, Kick A**, Repeat, everyday!

Spacesaver Scorecard

With 2023 now a distant memory, the Group is focused on our goal of setting another record this year…and we are off to a decent start on that mission. While we are slightly under our monthly target, we are ahead of pace with historical January performance and in position for a successful year. I have no doubt we will achieve our goal (again) in 2024!

Southwest Solutions Group has jumped out as the leader out of the gate – booking over $1.2M (110%) in total, with the NE TX (275%) and OK (141%) PARs providing the spark. We had 16 (yes 16!) PARs exceed their January target for incoming orders, and 4 of those – Hi-Cube (602%), Stor-It Systems (387%), SSG NE TX (275%), and Interior Solutions (235%) all well over double their monthly quota. While the Group only managed 85%, we are more than confident we will continue to progress each month to achieve the record-breaking incoming orders we have set as our target.

Our shipment total was slightly higher than incoming, but still under 90% for the month – but looking at historical performance, this puts us right where we had been previously to set another annual record. We had 11 PARs exceed their monthly quota, with Spacesaver Intermountain taking the top spot, shipping nearly $1M (248%). Honorable mention goes to Interior Solutions, who continued their exceptional performance by starting 2024 off with 184% of sales quota. We fully expect this list to grow as we get into the “heavy sales season”.

The new year is no longer “new” – let’s make 2024 another year of separation from the pretenders…I mean, competition!

Major Projects

2024: Getting Started On A High(Bay) Note:
While the year is just getting on its way, The Group has already seen notable success in its efforts. In January alone, a combined $5.2M SSC Net was awarded to 3 separate ACs for their collective efforts. And, while their locations were different, each project included one key component that was essential to its success – support from Greg Sayre of our Major Projects team. The three projects were:

LOC Fort Meade Mod 7 – Specified for Spacesaver systems

Penn LIBRA Mod 3 – The third module we’ve supported, with more to come

University of Iowa Additional Shelves – This is the 2nd time they have added on shelves since original installation in 2017

By involving Greg early in the process, the partnering ACs and their respective clients were able to tap into the vast array of High-Bay resources at Spacesaver. High-Bay is an incredibly unique product, requiring design, order, delivery, and installation support that is outside the scope of standard order parameters. Our team has the expertise to help guide the project in the right direction from the get-go, freeing up time and capacity for you to target and secure additional projects.

2023 Invest Algin Deliver

There are many ways to collaborate with the Spacesaver team, from Strategic Sales to VMMs and so much in between. In January, the Spacesaver Intermountain and Donnegan teams welcomed their assigned BDR to their offices for meetings and spent a day doing field visits. This focused time allows the BDRs to learn directly from the sales reps they support, seeing firsthand how to better qualify opportunities to gain alignment and drive successful outcomes. The learnings from both visits are then shared with the entire BD team for all to utilize going forward. Special thanks to Ken York, Trent Sanders, and Jensen Jacobson from Intermountain, and Dan Clifford, Brittany Cormier, Dave Milewski, and Cheryl Stacy from Donnegan for INVESTing their time and Going Above PAR!

Storing A Soulful Musical Collection

We recently completed a case study focused on the resurrection of a Tulsa-area recording studio and music archive.
