February 2025

Welcome to 2025! 

The year is off to a quick start. In January we kicked off the year’s strategic plan in Chicago with the Principals and Sales Managers from The Spacesaver Group. It was two days filled with sharing thought leadership, discussing strategy roadmaps, and growing the collaboration and community of The Group. We will not take for granted the spirit and partnership that are at the forefront of our collective mutual success. 

As we set out on our 3rd year of driving true product sales, we discussed how effort and action – when strategically focused and applied consistently over a period of time – will always lead to result. We discussed how Numbers Count, and that doing the little things over and over again can make a significant impact. Finally, we shared our commitment to The Group, that our sole mission is to provide the best possible service to our partners and our customers. After all, we are market leaders because we put the customer first. 

This year, we will build on the lessons learned, the relationships established, and the momentum gained. Let’s continue to support each other, innovate, and push the boundaries of what we can achieve together. Because we are not just driving product sales, but we are also setting new standards of excellence and redefining our industry. 

We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved so far and are even more excited about what we will accomplish in 2025. Let’s set sail with renewed energy, unwavering determination, and the spirit of unity that has brought us this far.

Congratulations to our Area Contractor teams that have a Spacesaver Group anniversary!

Interior Solutions – February, 26 years

Spacesaver Scorecard

We are already in full swing in 2025, and the Group is off to a great start in both incoming orders and invoiced shipments. Interior Solutions shipped over $1.6M in AZ (286%) and NM (811%) to lead the all ACs, while Hi-Cube Storage Products (381%) and AOS Interior Environments (287%) billed well over their January targets. In total, we had 14 PARs exceed their monthly sales quota to begin the year, putting The Group at a collective 106% heading into February. 

Incoming orders were equally strong, with 13 PARs over their first month’s quota. While Spacesaver Specialists jumped out with a huge month with just under $1M booked (611%), it was STORAGELogic that hit it out of the park, entering over $1.5M (1040%) to start the year! Bradford Systems wasn’t far behind, submitting over $1.4M (171%). The Group was just a few dollars under $10M (98%), but with a strong initial week in February, the forecasts point toward filling the gap in Q1. 

We have a lot of positive energy throughout The Group and the outlook from the field is extremely optimistic – let’s keep the focus on success by committing to being consistent every day! 

 

Major Projects

Feeling Nostalgic For The Win!

Running up against a deadline for submitting specifications to his project’s Construction Manager, Mark Wencis of Donnegan Systems, Inc., looked to our Major Projects Team for assistance writing specifications for a project that would include mobile, storage, and shelving.  

Always ready to help, our internal team – including Project Coordinators Andrew Frees and Mitchell Miller and Sales Manager Joe Leibfried – got on a call with Mark to fully understand the project’s requirements and submission deadlines. Following the call, the team met internally to distribute duties, assign individual product spec sections, and set deadlines to achieve the required dates to ensure Mark would be positioned as competitively as possible.  

Over the course of a week, the Spacesaver Team worked up specification sections, coming together with Mark at the end of the week to explain our final product, strategy, and recommendations on how to deliver the specifications to the Construction Manager. At the end of the call Mark was very thankful for the information we put together and even commented on how we “used to do this all the time,” with the sound of nostalgia.  

We want to thank Mark for reminding us what we can achieve together and look forward to flexing our collaborative muscles the next time he – or any other member of The Group – presents the opportunity! 

Going Above Par

As the sun continues to set on Configura Classic and we get closer to our CET launch date, it is important to acknowledge the many hours both our internal and external teams have spent and continue to spend on this project. From development, training, testing, feedback sessions, and beyond, this has been a true Spacesaver Group effort, and we appreciate all the Area Contractors’ support throughout this endeavor. Special thanks for your time and dedication to this project – you truly exemplify what it means to Go Above PAR!!

Vertical Market Updates

Growing The Markets

Our two new Vertical Market Managers are off and running in their respective markets. December 9th, we welcomed Julio Asensio as Vertical Market Manager for the Military market. Julio joined us with 20 years of dedicated service in the US Air Force, and several years working with both the DoD and ADS and is ready to partner with The Group to continually grow the market.  

Additionally, our Library/Education market was boosted with the addition of Mark Haley as Vertical Manager on January 20th. Mark comes to us with 20-plus years of building relationships within both markets and is excited to leverage his extensive experience to support The Group in growing our largest vertical market. 

Make sure to utilize both of these experts, as well as the knowhow of Emily Martin in the Museums market and Scott Loreaux in the Public Safety and Agriculture markets, to keep on pushing the bounds of what we can do together in 2025! 

The Power of the Group 

While it’s easy to do the right thing when someone is watching or directing us, true value is found in what we do instinctively and unprompted a characteristic that sets The Spacesaver Group and its dedicated members apart from the rest. Evidence of this value can be found in the Arnold Police Department (APD) install Curt Rogers of Bradford Systems facilitated with an out-of-PAR assist from a Group member.  

This project started as an inquiry for a competitive quote from a APD staff member, which wouldn’t be that abnormal except the inquiry was sent to Craig Crock of Southwest Solutions. Without hesitation, Craig got on the phone with the staff member to better understand her situation and what she and the department needed to best outfit their team. From there, Craig informed her of possible contract options available in her region and directed her to Curt for assistance. With this knowledge at hand and her local Spacesaver Group representative ready to deliver proven, high-quality solutions for her current and future needs, the project was an open-and-shut win.

Marketing Minute

CET FYIs

As we continue to move closer to the official launch of CET and transition from Configura Classic, Spacesaver’s IT Department will be sending out periodic communications to provide status updates and valuable resources to help deliver an easier, faster, and more reliable way to produce layouts, proposals, and product specifications.

2025 Product/Application School Schedule 

We are excited to announce the 2025 on-site Spacesaver Product/Application Schools! These schools are open to all Area Contractors, Distributors, and their team members. We urge you to take advantage of these opportunities to have your internal and external salespeople, A&D and demand generation teams, and Configura personnel learn about Spacesaver products, applications, and markets. The 2025 schools will take place on: 

  • April 1-3
  • June 10-12
  • September 23-25
